Prep time - 5 minutes

Cook time - 0 minutes

Difficulty - Easy

Serves / makes - 1 portion

Ingredients

1 banana, chopped and frozen

1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric

A dash of cardamom and ginger (either ground or spicedrops)

1/2 tablespoon coconut cream

A splash of plant milk (if the blender struggles)

Crushed black pepper and dessicated coconut for decoration

Method

  1. Put the banana, spices and coconut cream in a jug. Blend, with a hand blender, until very smooth. You will have to push the blender down, quite forcefully, as the frozen banana will be hard. Only add a splash of milk if you really need to, if the blender is struggling to blend the mixture without it. If you add too much milk you will end up with a smoothie rather than ice cream.

  2. Spoon the ice cream into a bowl and top with the pepper and desiccated coconut.
